Man stabs Bishop Shina Olaribigbe to death in Osogbo for allegedly sleeping with his wife

In a terrible occurrence that has shaken the Osun State community, Bishop Shina Olaribigbe of Rapture Empowerment International, Osogbo, was tragically stabbed early Thursday morning while interfering in a domestic argument between a couple.

Details surrounding the names of the couple remain unclear, however sources confirm that the wife was a member of the Bishop’s church, where she acted as an interpreter. Although they hadn’t formally filed for divorce, the couple, who were known for their constant arguments, had been living separately.

Evidently infuriated by his wife’s condition, the husband visited her home on the fateful morning where the Bishop had been attending to her. Despite the fact that no improper behaviour was observed, the husband’s suspicions led him to believe that his wife and the Bishop were romantically linked. Furious,

He took out a kitchen knife and killed the Bishop by stabbing him in the chest many times.

The tragic occurrence has left the community in shock, with friends and followers of the Bishop expressing their sorrow on social media. On the Bishop’s Facebook page, one mourner, Oyeleye Isaac, expressed his sorrow by posting, “BREAKING AND VERY SAD NEWS, WE LOST ONE OF OUR HEROES, Bishop Dr. Olaribigbe Greatness.” Why, why, why?

Bishop Olaribigbe’s remains have been moved to the mortuary at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital in Osogbo, while the husband and wife have been placed into police arrest. Investigations into the dispute’s circumstances and the causes of the deadly attack are ongoing.
