May Edochie’s ex-lawyer leaks private chats amid cyberbullying claims

The ongoing dispute between May Yul-Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, and her former legal counsel, Emeka Ugwuonye, has intensified following the lawyer’s recent social media posts.

On Friday, Ugwuonye took to Facebook to share screenshots of private conversations he claims took place between him and May during her divorce process. According to him, he played a crucial role in guiding her through the legal proceedings and treated her with exceptional consideration.

He alleged that despite his support, May repaid him with betrayal.

Accusing her of deceit and manipulation, Ugwuonye labeled May a “liar” and a “fake person.” He also warned her to hope he refrains from making more disclosures that, in his words, could further tarnish her public image.

“If you see the chats between us, you will understand how fake May is and what a terrible liar she is. All those who believe her are just pitiable.

“Can you see how I was guiding her on when to get to court. I gave this woman first class treatment. I would send her the Cause List and guide her so she would not wait long before her case would be called,” he wrote.

This development comes shortly after May’s legal team, Graylaw Partners, served a cease-and-desist notice to Ugwuonye. The notice accuses him of engaging in online harassment, defamation, and spreading damaging content aimed at discrediting her.
