Borno South Senator Ali Ndume has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is surrounded by individuals who lack the capacity to effectively manage the responsibilities of his administration.

Ndume made the assertion during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday.

The lawmaker warned that the President could continue to face setbacks if he fails to address what he described as the presence of “incapable” officials within his government.

According to Ndume, the situation could continue to damage the administration and create unnecessary problems for the President.

His comments followed the recent discovery of purportedly unauthorised government agencies operating within the Presidency.

One of the agencies identified in the controversy is the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, PFIPC.

The senator’s remarks come after the latest development was traced to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume.

Ndume maintained that the discovery raises fresh questions about the quality of personnel and administrative structures operating under the Tinubu administration.

The lawmaker criticised the President for allowing “kakistocrats” to dominate his administration, causing ongoing mismanagement and embarrassment.

“President Tinubu has too many kakistocrats that dominate the Presidency. Unless he does something about it, they will keep messing him up.

“It is now a known thing that Nigeria has fake agencies that operate with offices. If the President had capable hands, all these mess and embarrassments wouldn’t be happening.

“And after the ICPC investigated, they discovered even more, and now you have Permanent Secretaries also in the Presidency who had to be suspended. The President is still not taking appropriate action on all these,” Ndume said.
