Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has opened up once again about the painful experience of her leaked private video, revealing that it surfaced while she was still grieving the death of her father.

Speaking in an emotional conversation with Zeze Mills, Savage reflected on that period as the most difficult time in her life.

“It was a space of like two months where my dad died and my sex tape was released,” she said.

She shared that her way of coping was to avoid dwelling too much on the situation.

The intimate clip made headlines in October 2021 after it appeared online, drawing widespread attention.

In a previous interview with Angie Martinez on Power 105.1, Savage revealed that the footage was leaked by someone attempting to extort her.

She clarified that the individual behind the leak tried to demand money, but she refused to be manipulated or silenced by blackmail.
