After insisting on a DNA test for our 17-month-old son, my husband is now requesting that I take an oath.

My husband just asked for our 17-month-old son to have a DNA test. I knew I had nothing to hide, so even though I was hurt, I consented without protest. According to the test findings, there is 99.9% sure that he is the father.

But rather than letting this go, my husband now demands that I accompany him to his hometown to take an oath, saying that this is the only way to demonstrate that I didn’t have an affair during his six-month absence.

Despite my reluctance, my parents are urging me to take the oath in order to save my marriage. His village’s customs are known to be fetish, and the thought scares me, therefore I don’t trust this method.

His demands seem strange to several of my friends. They believe he may be trying to force me out of the marriage and introduce me to another woman, perhaps a girlfriend, by utilising this circumstance.

Although I have informed him that I would not be going, my reluctance has jeopardised our marriage. I’m bewildered and afraid. My husband is the only male who has witnessed my nudity, so I know I am innocent.

How can I handle this circumstance without jeopardising my safety and dignity?
