Deep political divisions inside Akwa Ibom are revealed by the fact that many of Governor Umo Eno’s closest allies are refusing to join the APC, despite his official membership.

This is about identity, pressure, and long-term planning, not just party colors. In Nigerian politics, Eno’s decision to support the APC-led federal administration is not warmly received by many in his own party.
