Troops from the Joint Task Force successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Waga Village, located in the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

This information was shared by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focusing on the Lake Chad region, via a post on his X handle.

Makama reported that the attack occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Friday when suspected terrorists launched an assault on the base. However, the troops responded quickly, forcing the insurgents to retreat.

Sources confirmed there were no casualties among security personnel or local residents, and normalcy has been restored in the area.
