“Show me the law! Show me the law!”
His voice thundered in the courtroom—firm, steady, and deeply wounded.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stood not merely as a defendant, but as a man asking for the simplest foundation of justice: the law guiding his trial.
Yet instead of presenting the law he repeatedly demanded, he was removed from the courtroom— silenced in the very space where truth should speak the loudest.
And in his absence, the proceedings continued.
A man asked for lawful process.
What he received was exclusion.
A Cry for Justice Heard Around the World
That moment was not just a courtroom incident.
It was a symbol of a judiciary struggling beneath heavy shadows.
A defendant said, “Show me the law.”
And rather than transparency, he was denied presence, denied dignity, denied fairness.
Such an incident doesn’t stay within Nigeria’s boundaries.
It echoes to world powers and global observers— to United Nations, @UNHumanRights, UK Parliament, @EU_Commission, Amnesty International, Donald J. TrumpPresident Donald J. Trump and every advocate of rule of law across the globe.
Because when justice is withheld from one,
it is weakened for all.
A JUDICIARY THAT NEEDS HEALING
Nigeria’s judiciary once stood as the last sanctuary of fairness.
Today, many citizens watch it with fear instead of trust.
Court orders are ignored.
Proceedings are rushed or altered.
Rights depend on identity, not legality.
And influence often stands taller than truth.
A man simply asked,
“Show me the law.”
It should have been the easiest question to answer.
Instead, it became proof of a system in pain—
a system that desperately needs light, accountability, and cleansing.
Until Justice Is Restored…
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s plea must not be forgotten.
It is a reminder that justice is not a privilege—
it is a right anchored in law, transparency, and humanity.
Nigeria deserves a judiciary that stands tall,
unshaken by pressure, unbent by politics,
guided only by the truth.
Until then, the cry will continue to echo:
“SHOW ME THE LAW!”
