Legendary football player Augustine “Jay Jay” Okocha of Nigeria joined the CAF Ambassadors Programme.
Asamoah Gyan of Ghana, Ahmed Hassan of Egypt, and El Hadji Diouf of Senegal, a former striker, have also committed.
The CAF Ambassadors initiative will include additional football icons, community leaders, and other well-known figures.
Their responsibilities will encompass advocating for CAF and African football and being heavily involved in various other events, like competitions, charitable endeavours, and social and business events.
Okocha and Nigeria won the Africa Cup of Nations championship in 1994.
In due course, CAF will reveal more people participating in the Ambassadors Programme.
