Onuokaibe speaks out over Ex-Gov Nwobodo’s political career

A respected figure from Enugu State, Chief Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has hailed former governor, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, as a prominent example of strong leadership, foresight, and lasting influence.

Nwobodo, who once served as the governor of the old Anambra State, marked his 85th birthday on Friday.

In a message shared with the media, Onuokaibe who hails from the historic Mburubu Kingdom highlighted that Nwobodo’s personal and political journey serves as a model for intentional leadership and impactful governance. He noted that the former governor’s contributions continue to resonate strongly, not only in Enugu and Anambra States, but throughout the broader Igbo region.

He praised the ex-governor’s efforts in shaping the political direction of the South-East, noting that his principles of fairness, inclusivity, and accountability still serve as reference points in discussions about governance in the country.

Onuokaibe emphasized that Senator Nwobodo remains one of the rare public figures whose reputation commands admiration across different generations, owing to his unwavering purpose, integrity, and dedication throughout his public and private life.
