The 20-week pregnant girlfriend is upset with her boyfriend after learning that he has been diagnosed as a sociopath. She is concerned that her twin boys may be affected as well because disease is inherited.

It wasn’t until I became pregnant that he approached me about this. I’m not sure why, but even though I’m now staying with my sister, I feel like I’m annoying her and her flatmate. I had to just let him alone. I’m not sure why he didn’t tell me.

Given the genetic linkage to sociopathy, what if he passed it on to our sons? I’m afraid, too.

He has a criminal background that dates back to his adolescence and early twenties, and he has done some questionable things in the past, but I had assumed that he had grown up and gone on.

I don’t know if I want to spend the rest of my life with him because I’m so hurt. Though I don’t want to give up on them, I also don’t want my children to grow up with a psychopath for a dad. Could you please assist me decide what to do with all of this?
