Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned, according to President Donald Trump, because she lost the president’s backing.
Rep. Greene of Georgia announced her resignation from Congress following a dispute with Trump, as previously reported by ZINGITE.
She maintained a firm stance during the longest government shutdown in the country’s history, and her choice was the pinnacle of her dispute with Trump and the Republican leadership.
In response, Trump claimed that without his support, the congresswoman would not have made it through a primary election.
Nonetheless, he said that Rep. Greene was a pleasant individual.
“Once I left her, she resigned because she never would have survived a primary. But I think she’s a nice person”, he said.
