The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, issued a warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, urging him to take immediate steps to foster unity in Nigeria across ethnic divisions in order to prevent a potential revolution.

Primate Ayodele expressed concern over the deepening disunity within the country, noting that nearly every sector is experiencing a lack of cohesion.

In a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele emphasized that it is the government’s duty to address the underlying causes of political, religious, and tribal divisions to maintain national unity, as Nigeria’s peace is at risk due to these widespread fractures.

He further pointed out that the only common factor currently uniting Nigerians is football, but with the Super Eagles underperforming, this has only added to the growing disunity across the nation.

According to Ayodele: “Something needs to be done about Nigeria. Many may not tell the president this, but Nigeria isn’t united in terms of geopolitical zones, religion, tribalism, and politics. We are very disturbed in this country. Tribes dislike one another, and this threatens the unity of the nation.

“Nigeria needs to be very prayerful. The government needs to pay attention to the causes of these issues. An ethnic crisis is imminent if the government doesn’t take it seriously.
