Rivers: Bode George Breaks Silence, Vows Court Action Against Wike

A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has announced plans to institute legal action against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over allegations made against him.

The controversy followed remarks by Wike during a media briefing in Abuja, where he challenged the PDP elder to account for how he acquired the house he lives in at the Maitama district of the FCT, alleging that the property was financed with funds from Rivers State.

Reacting to the accusation while featuring on TVC News on Wednesday night, George dismissed Wike’s claims as false.

“How was my house in Abuja bought with Rivers fund? I’m going to take him to court. I’m sure he was high on something”, he said.

The PDP stalwart also alleged that the former Rivers State governor had been disowned by his father.

“He is just the same age as my first child. Go and find out what his father did to him and what he did to his father. In Africa, do you know what it means when your biological father disowns you?

“He is talking absolute rubbish. I didn’t even build a house, I bought the house and it is still there. Am I from Rivers State that I will go there and collect funds? I’m not like him”, he added.
