In Adamawa, a sex worker is accused of fatally stabbing a barman during a fight over N200 in liquor change.
The sex worker Riyanatu Musa has been arrested by the state police command for reportedly stabbing Yohanna Musa, the barman, out of rage over the aforementioned money.
After they argued about a N200 balance that the barman was meant to collect from her, the sex worker, who was stationed in Mubi South LGA, killed the barman.
When Riyanatu Musa confessed to the crime to the police, she told them that she had taken dry gin, also known as “Big Ben,” and another drink from Yohana Musa and that she would pay the next day. She claimed to have paid N1,500 and the remaining N200.
She clarified that she stabbed the victim in the chest with a knife during the altercation that broke out after he demanded his money.
She emphasised that she did not consume alcohol on that fateful day and refuted rumours that she had stabbed Yohana while intoxicated.
She apologised for her behaviour, but according to state Police Public Relations SP Suleiman Nguroje, Commissioner of Police Morris Dankombo has ordered additional investigation into the incident and cautioned the public against breaking the law.
