Speed Darlington Reveals 19 Arrests and 5 Detentions, Claims Narrow Escape from Assassination

Controversial rapper, Darlington Okoye, known as Speed Darlington, has revealed that he has been arrested a total of 19 times.

He also shared that he’s been locked up five times.

The ‘Bangdadadang’ hitmaker made these revelations in a freestyle video posted to his social media.

“5 lockups, 19 arrests, I get game but I no dey hear, when you hear this one, na Kuje,” he raps.

Recalling that Speed Darlington was arrested twice in October and November 2024 after making fun of Burna Boy’s relationship with the embattled American music mogul, Sean Combs, aka Diddy.

He was subsequently held at the Kuje Correctional Facility but was granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja and released on January 21st.

Shortly after his release, Darlington claimed on social media that he had narrowly avoided being assassinated while returning from a club in Lagos.

His lawyer, Stan Alieke, then announced that he and his firm had parted ways with the rapper in light of the assassination attempt allegations.

Speed Darlington responded by saying that if his lawyer was tired of supporting him, he was welcome to leave.
