Tinubu has failed woefully, might end up as one-term president – APC chieftain, Onokpasa

Based on the performance of his administration, Jesutega Onokpasa, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, or APC, claims that President Bola Tinubu has failed miserably.

In an interview with Arise Television on Sunday, Onokpasa made this claim and cautioned that if the president’s performance did not improve, he might only serve one term.

Onokpasa also explained to the children why Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whom he called his cousin, defected to the APC.

He claims that neither the state nor the APC are better off as a result of the governor switching to the ruling party.

The leader of the APC reaffirmed that the ruling party should prioritize effective governance over opposition lawmakers defecting to its side.

Onokpasa went on to say that opposition politicians defecting to the APC undermines democratic values.

“It is not a question of people defecting to our party. It is a question of are we ruling well? In that sense, we failed woefully.

“President Bola Tinubu has failed woefully to rule well, provide food for Nigerians, and give succour in these hard times.

“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who recently defected to our party, is actually my cousin. I don’t have the slightest idea why he defected to our party. He did not inform me. I wish him well,” he said.
