Transfer: Romano confirms defender Chelsea want to sign

Chelsea is looking at signing Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, according to football trade specialist Fabrizio Romano.

On Monday, Romano revealed this in a post on his X account.

“Chelsea keep exploring options to bring in new left footed talented defender this summer,” Romano tweeted.

“Riccardo Calafiori has been discussed internally at Chelsea and Arsenal with Juventus already on it since February.

“#CFC exploring several options to find best opportunity.”

This summer, Chelsea has been extremely busy in the transfer window thus far.

The Blues have added a few players and made some trades.
