Transfer: Romano gives updates on Chelsea’s move for Osimhen

Football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has maintained that despite Chelsea’s interest, Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has declined to lower his pay.

On Monday night, Romano revealed this in a tweet from his X account.

He claims that Chelsea and Napoli are still discussing their alternatives for Osimhen’s summer transfer.

Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea is also wanted by Napoli, he continued, since Osimhen is anticipated to leave the Serie A team.

Romano tweeted, “No changes so far on Victor Osimhen deal for Chelsea.”

“Chelsea explore talks with Napoli; Napoli want Lukaku; Osimhen will NOT reduce his salary + he’s not open to straight loan/open buy option right now.

“He’s still expected to leave Napoli, but no concrete changes yet.”
