The unfurling outrage involving former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello has heightened following SaharaReporters’ reports affirming Bello participated in plans to pay off judges handling his extortion and illegal tax avoidance case. These claims have surfaced amid his current fights in court with the Monetary and Monetary Violations Commission (EFCC), which has blamed him for abusing over N80 billion from state reserves.
The details of this supposed pay-off plot became visible through leaked WhatsApp messages from a gathering group named “Just Ododo 4 Const,” which incorporates a few close partners and previous chiefs under Bello’s organization. They include highlighting Evangelist Kinsley Fanwo, an ongoing individual from Lead representative Usman Ododo’s organization, and other noticeable political figures in Kogi State.
As per the breaks, Bello has coordinated an arrangement to change over a critical amount of cash into dollars to pay off passes judgment on dealing with his case.
