Veteran Nollywood actor Fabian Adibe has passed away at the age of 82.

The news of his death was confirmed on Wednesday morning by Seun Oloketuyi, CEO of Best Nollywood (BON).

“Things Fall Apart actor, Fabian Adibie, is dead. Died 2:30 am this morning,” Oloketuyi posted on social media.

Adibe was best known for his memorable roles in numerous classic Nigerian films, most notably his portrayal in the film version of Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart.

As news of his passing spreads, tributes have been pouring in from across the Nollywood industry and among fans, with many remembering him as a “true legend” and offering prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul.
