VIDEO: Nigerian lecturer ‘goes gaga’ after becoming latest Professor in university

As a Head of Department (HOD) at a Nigerian university celebrated being promoted to professor, a touching scene was caught on tape.

The professor, who is well-known for having a lively personality, was observed dancing merrily while surrounded by his peers and students.

A student who was present at the celebration, Iamomo9ice, posted the video honouring the professor on TikTok.

He enthused about the beautiful scenario in which his Head of Department and two other academics, who had also been promoted, celebrated their success by letting free and dancing.

He called his HOD a “big stepper” in his caption, complimenting his enthusiasm and dancing prowess.

“POV: Your HOD and 2 other lecturers are the newest tear rubber professors in town. My HOD na big stepper,” the video’s caption.

Thanks to the TikTok video, users congratulated the newly appointed professors with an abundance of words that swamped the comments section.
