Temitope Balogun, TB Joshua, the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), has been accused of torturing and raping several of his followers while he was still alive, three years after his death.
Five British people have accused TB Joshua of forcing them to have rapes and abortions at a covert Lagos complex over a 20-year period, according to an investigation conducted over two years by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The late televangelist was also charged with fabricating his “miracle healings,” which were seen by millions of people worldwide.
A British lady named Rae, who is one of the accused victims, was 21 years old in 2002 when she dropped out of Brighton University to join the church. She lived the next twelve years inside Joshua’s intricately designed concrete compound in Lagos as one of his alleged “disciples.”
She told the BBC, “We all thought we were in heaven, but we were in hell, and in hell terrible things happen.”
Rae said that Joshua had sexually abused her and had kept her in a kind of solitary confinement for two years. She said that she made several attempts at suicide inside the facility due to the extreme mistreatment.
SCOAN, located in the Ikotun area of Lagos State, was founded by TB Joshua.
On June 5, 2021, a week before his 58th birthday, he passed away after conducting a service.
