What happened to this teenager in Kano is heartbreaking

A fourteen-year-old kid named Sulaiman Nura Ado perished in Kano State’s Ruwan Promise pond.

The Kano State Fire Service said in a statement on Sunday that Ghali Isah Muhd reported the event, which happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. on October 25, 2025.

A rescue team from the State Fire Service Headquarters hurried to the scene right away, under the direction of the Director, Alhaji Sani Anas, according to the statement, which was signed by ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the Service’s Public Relations Officer.

The youngster was discovered unresponsive after the crew managed to remove him from the sea. His body was given to Police Constable Mubarak Ishak of the Rijiyar Zaki Police Division after it was determined that he was deceased.

The Fire Service offered its condolences to the family and cautioned that youngsters should not be allowed near ponds where locals swim, since this could result in terrible deaths.
