Biodun Olujimi, a former deputy governor of Ekiti State, has disclosed why she defected from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking in an interview on TVC’s Beyond the Headlines show, Olujimi credited President Bola Tinubu with inspiring her to make and stick to tough choices.

However, she pointed out that although her experience with the PDP began well, it later turned “torturous and very problematic.”

The former Senate Minority Leader, who was born in Ekiti, claimed that the APC’s readiness to make difficult decisions was the reason she joined the party.

“Well, the PDP journey was a very long journey. It was pleasurable at first, but then it became very torturous and very problematic. And so it was time to move on. It was time to re-energise. It was time to reorder priorities,” she said.
