‘Why I pray Every day to win Grammy’ – Davido

The Grammy is what Nigerian afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, says he prays for every day.

According to ZINGTIE, Davido has three Grammy nominations for 2024.

While “Unavailable” and “Feel” were nominated in the categories for Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance, respectively, his fourth studio album, “Timeless,” was nominated in the Best Global Music Album category.

Davido stated in a recent interview with GQ that he prays to win the award.

He said: “Everybody knows what one of my prayer points is now. I have been nominated for three Grammys. So, everybody knows what I am praying for every day I wake up.”

Along with Burna Boy, Arooj Aftab, Silvana Estrada, Béla Fleck, Falu, and Gaurav Shah, Davido will compete for the Best Global Music Performance award.

In addition, he would face off against Bokante, Susana Baca, Burna Boy, and Shakti for the Best Global Music Album title.

He is up against well-known performers in the Best African Music Performance category, including Tyla from South Africa, Asake, Ayra Starr, and Burna Boy.
