Wike confirms death of FCT Head of Service, Adayilo, reveals what he told Tinubu before her death

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced the passing of Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the first Head of the FCT Civil Service.

Adayilo reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, though the details surrounding her death were not immediately disclosed.

Wike made the announcement during an ongoing media interaction with selected journalists in Abuja.

He praised her dedication and commitment to duty, revealing that he had previously appealed to President Bola Tinubu to extend her tenure in recognition of her exceptional service.

“The late FCT Head of Service was very hardworking, I pleaded with President Tinubu to extend her tenure due to her hard work.

“If I had gotten the information on the demise of the FCT Head of Service, I would have put off this media chat,” he said.
