Nigerian youngster Popoola Ridwan has completed a transfer to United Arab Emirates Pro League champions Al Wasl, ZINGTIE reports.
The talented midfielder joined the UAE side from Hungarian outfit Kisvárda after putting pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Neither Al Wasl nor Kisvárda disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.
Ridwan, 19, initially moved to Kisvárda in February 2025 after leaving Nigerian academy club Seamoriow FC.
During his spell in Hungary, the midfielder quickly impressed and earned recognition as one of the club’s brightest emerging prospects.
The move to Al Wasl represents another important step in his career as he continues his development in one of the Middle East’s top leagues.
The Nigerian midfielder will now be hoping to establish himself with the UAE champions and continue his rise at the professional level.
