Chuck Schumer, the Senate Minority Leader and a Democrat from New York, has sharply criticized President Donald Trump as he approaches the 100-day mark of his second term in office this week.

Schumer described Trump’s first 100 days in the White House as a disastrous period for the American people.

Trump, who was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, 2025, will reach this milestone on April 29 (Tuesday).

In a tweet posted on Monday morning through his X account, Schumer stated: “Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office have been a nightmare for the American people.”

He added, “These 100 days have been the worst of any president in modern history.”

This criticism follows Schumer’s recent praise for a federal judge’s ruling that temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to strip collective bargaining rights from workers at several government agencies and departments.
