The Accord Party governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Bunza, has promised to incorporate Islamic injunctions into his strategy for tackling banditry and kidnapping if elected governor in 2027.
Bunza made the pledge on Saturday during a candidate engagement forum organised by the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kebbi State Council.
He said relevant passages from the Qur’an, when sincerely applied, could contribute to ending banditry and kidnapping across the state.
The governorship candidate also pledged to increase the minimum wage for workers in Kebbi State to N500,000 monthly if elected.
According to him, the proposed wage increase would improve workers’ welfare and help address the hardship experienced by civil servants.
Bunza urged residents of Kebbi State to make their voting decisions based on the policies, programmes and plans presented by candidates ahead of the 2027 election.
