The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take steps to calm Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric warned that Nigerians could use the 2027 election to express their dissatisfaction and grievances against the administration.

Ayodele said the president could face a difficult electoral battle if the government fails to address the concerns affecting citizens before the polls.

The prophet also claimed that some individuals close to Tinubu were misleading him into believing that everything was going well, alleging that their primary interest was financial gain.

He further stated that politicians who were unable to secure tickets within the ruling party could eventually turn against the president and work to frustrate his re-election bid.

Ayodele said: “Tinubu is very desperate; he has not done what Nigerians want, and people surrounding him are deceiving him. They only want to eat his money.

“Most of the people who dropped from the party will work against Tinubu’s victory, and he can lose the election if he isn’t careful.”

The cleric added that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other opposition figures could pose a serious threat to Tinubu’s bid to remain in office.

According to him, “the coalition of Atiku and others can take Tinubu out of office, regardless of those he has with him.”

Ayodele also cautioned the president against depending on electoral manipulation as a means of securing victory, arguing that such an approach would face resistance from Nigerians.

He therefore advised Tinubu to focus on rebuilding trust with the people and addressing their grievances.

The prophet warned that attempts to secure victory through means other than genuine votes could ultimately fail if the government does not respond to the concerns of the electorate.

“All the plans to rig will be resisted by Nigerians, and mind you, the election is going to be tough. Don’t expect it to be free and fair.

“People will show that they are desperate, and people will show they don’t want APC. The party needs to pacify Nigerians; otherwise, all the magic will not work,” he added.
