The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has reaffirmed its resolve to eradicate wheel-dealing, money politics, and godfatherism from the country’s political system.

At a gathering hosted by the Conscience Forum on Sunday, the party’s National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, made this statement while welcoming new members to the party.

According to the former interior minister, ADC’s mission to free the people is divinely mandated.

“ADC is not like any party in Nigeria. People think it is just like any other party in Nigeria.

“When any of you party members are interviewed as from today, and they ask you what the ideology of the ADC is, the ideology of the ADC is a people-friendly government.

“This is the most distinct commitment of the party, to serving the people,” he said.

He claims that ADC stands apart from other parties because it is people-centric.

According to the former governor of Osun State, the party has positioned itself as a platform for common Nigerians, such as laborers, craftspeople, and the general populace.

“You know them, and I also know them. Bye-bye to jaga jaga. Bye-bye to all of them,” he added.
