Hilda Dokubo, the chairman of the Labour Party in Rivers State, has been suspended from the party in her ward, the Asari Toru Local Government Area.

This was expressed in a letter signed by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Ajalamonia Ibama, the Secretary, Mr. Lole Amacheer, and the Treasurer, Mr. Emmanuel Ibamathe, and addressed to the Labour Party Chairman of the Asari Toru LGA.

Osaki Dokubo, the publicity secretary, and Mrs. Osaki Dieypiriye, the women’s leader, both signed the letter.

The 54-year-old actress was reportedly suspended on Thursday during an emergency meeting of the party’s ward executive committee on July 15, according to NAN.

It was reported that Dokubo was charged with financial misbehaviour, official malfeasance, and violating party regulations, among other allegations.

The ward officials indicated that a careful study into these claims led to the decision, and they had found a lot of evidence.

She has not yet addressed the accusations.
