Salome told the tragic tale of her marriage to a guy who at first concealed his incapacity to bear children. He later promised to raise the children as his own and allowed her to find another man to get her pregnant. He did, however, ultimately expel her and the three kids.

Salome barely made it to Form 3 of school, having been born and reared in a large family. She left school to work as a housekeeper because of financial difficulties. She became pregnant by a man she fell in love with at this time.

Salome’s stern mother forbade her from staying at home during her pregnancy. Salome had little choice but to look for another housekeeping job in a nearby village.

Despite being pregnant, she attracted the attention of one of her employer’s sons.

The two moved in together a few months later, and the man assumed full responsibility for her child’s upbringing and support. Salome did not become pregnant, though, even though she did not use family planning techniques. She explained that she was waiting to conceive naturally and wasn’t using any form of birth control when her husband began pressuring her to have another kid.

After many years, the man admitted to being impotent when her firstborn was ten. In an attempt to conceal his infertility, he then advised Salome to locate another man to conceive her. After some hesitation, Salome chose to speak with her father and his parents. They endorsed the concept, urging her to move on while maintaining secrecy, disclosing that similar situations had occurred in the family before.

Salome heeded the counsel and became pregnant shortly after. When she told her husband, he was ecstatic and took good care of her during the pregnancy. But after her third child was born, he started acting very differently. He started drinking and mistreating her verbally and physically.

His remarks about “taking the children to their fathers” eventually led her firstborn, now 16 years old, to realize that the man was not his biological father. Despite Salome’s efforts to keep the family intact, her husband ultimately kicked her and the children out, offering no financial or emotional support.”
