Days after Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z was accused of rape, Forbes removed his last name from her name, shocking her admirers!ng a teenager.
According to a complaint, Jay-Z, 55, whose real name is Shawn Carter, raped a 13-year-old girl with Diddy at a party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Shortly later, the rapper made a strange statement in which he strongly disputed the charges.
Fans claimed that the action was a “soft launch name change” when Beyonce, 43, was featured as one of the year’s most powerful women by Forbes, which classified her as “Beyonce Knowles” rather than her actual name, “Beyonce Knowles-Carter,” days after the claims surfaced.
Others wrote: ‘lemme hear y’all say UH OH’, ‘this going viral – good luck babe’, ‘Nah don’t forget the Carter!!!’ and ‘This is blowing up—good luck, love!’
‘What’s coming next, I’m intrigued !!!’ and ‘everyone say heeeyyyy ms knowles.’

Others defended the star saying: ‘Forbes has ALWAYS gone by just Beyoncé-Knowles. This is NOT new. Why are you trying to come up with a false narrative?’
This isn’t the case, though, as Forbes reported in September that the singer was referred to as “Beyonce Knowles-Carter” when she introduced her new whisky brand, SirDavis. The couple is estimated to be worth $3 billion together.
Beyonce has famously referred to herself as “Mrs Carter” for more than ten years and toured under her married name.
Her most recent album was also titled Cowboy Carter, a reference to her married name.
According to the unnamed victim who filed the lawsuit against Beyonce’s husband, the alleged attack occurred at a VMA afterparty in September 2000, with an unnamed female celebrity in attendance.
