The wife of suspended Catholic priest Reverend Father Daniel Okonatotor Oghenerukevwe of the Diocese of Warri, Dora Chichah, has given a moving account of their union.
During a live session on Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church in Dallas, USA, she revealed this.
Dora, a single mother of three, described how her “miraculous marital settlement” was the result of her steadfast prayers.
After searching for a life mate for nine years, Dora thanked God for answering her prayers in a video that Nigerian priest Reverend Father Kelvin Ugwu uploaded on Facebook.
“What God cannot do does not exist. We dey pray, e dey show. My name is Dora, and I’m giving my testimony from Streams of Joy, Dallas.
“Indeed, the lord has shown me mercy. Since 2020, I have been on this altar, believing God for a life partner. I’m a single mother of three and I have been believing God for over nine years for a divine settlement. I kept on praying, I said God settle me,” she stated.
Pastor Jerry Eze prayed for women in their 30s and 40s to find husbands, Dora recalled. Dora reconnected with Daniel, a childhood friend, in 2024 after receiving what she said was divine guidance to move, and they promptly exchanged contact information.
Their marriage took place in the United States on July 29, 2024, after a rapid progression of their relationship.
During her testimony, Dora notably avoided bringing up Daniel’s status as a Catholic priest. Photographs of their wedding, however, have now gone viral, capturing the union that resulted in Father Daniel’s suspension for breaking Catholic clergy regulations.
Although the Diocese of Warri has not yet released any additional statements, the story has generated a great deal of online discussion regarding personal choices, priestly celibacy, and faith.
