`Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has extended his congratulations to Temilade Openiyi, popularly called Tems, for winning the Best African Music Performance award at the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Tems’ hit song, “Love Me Jeje,” triumphed over “Tomorrow” (Yemi Alade), “MMS” (Asake & Wizkid), “Sensational” (Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay), and “Higher” (Burna Boy).
The song, a rendition of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 track of the same name, has garnered widespread acclaim from global music fans since its release in April.
In his response, Davido expressed his pride in Tems with a post on his X page, writing: “Congratulations to my one and only! @chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby we are proud of you.
