Aminu Tambuwal, a current senator and former governor of Sokoto State, has stated his belief that the PDP will defeat the APC in the general elections of 2027.

Tambuwal said this on Monday when he announced the start of a program to distribute Ramadan packages to more than 30,000 households in Sokoto State.

He underlined that the program’s goal is to lessen financial hardship during the holy month of Ramadan, in conjunction with other food assistance programs offered by PDP lawmakers at the state and federal levels.

“We must recognize the grace of Allah for allowing us to witness another Ramadan, despite the many lives lost. We continue to pray for good health and longevity so that we may celebrate many more blessed months of Ramadan,” Tambuwal stated.

He also took the occasion to express gratitude to the PDP’s Sokoto leadership for their efforts in maintaining the party’s unity and strength.

According to Tambuwal, the PDP’s victory in the last election was “forcefully stolen,” and he reiterated his party’s resolve to regain its mandate.

He did, however, guarantee that the party is restructuring and planning for a 2027 triumph.

“By the grace of Allah, what was taken from us will be returned in 2027,” he declared.

Bello Goronyo, the PDP’s chairman in Sokoto State, also spoke at the occasion. He urged party members to stay strong and thanked them for their unwavering support.

He attacked the APC’s leadership, claiming that the problems Nigerians now confront did not exist when the PDP was in charge.

Goronyo urged Sokoto residents and Nigerians in general to get ready for the 2027 elections, which he said will be a release from the current government.
