After recently defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Muhammad Adamu Aliero, the former governor of Kebbi State and senator for Kebbi Central, has reaffirmed his membership in the All Progressives Congress (APC), at Aliero S. Fada Ward in Aliero Local Government Area.

A sizable contingent of party members and interested parties attended the re-registration on Tuesday, welcoming Senator Aliero’s return as a major boost to the APC’s political power in the run-up to the general elections in 2027.

Following his registration, Senator Aliero spoke and reaffirmed his unwavering allegiance to the APC, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State.

“I remain firmly committed to the progressive vision of the APC and the leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Idris.

“This is not just a registration; it is a renewed pledge to serve the people, promote inclusivity within our party, and strengthen our democratic institutions,” Aliero said.

Political observers predict a high-stakes election battle in Kebbi in 2027, as the opposition is weakened and the APC is strengthening its base.
