After posting an impassioned and sometimes amusing tirade over the death of her 115-year-old uncle, who she says died as a result of a failed spiritual attack, a Nigerian woman went viral.
She said the elderly man, who supposedly practiced witchcraft for 75 years, died when a “back to sender” procedure spiritually reversed a charm he had placed on someone’s land.
On social media site X (previously Twitter), the woman relayed the experience in a video, expressing both astonishment and annoyance.
“Since I was 7 years old, I’ve been waiting for Uncle to die because I didn’t understand his long life. I asked what killed him, and they said the ‘back to sender’ charm got him after he placed juju on someone’s farm,”she said in the video.
She continued by criticizing his lack of advancement in the mystical arts in spite of practicing for decades: “In 2025, Uncle was still putting juju on farms and getting caught. After 75 years of witchcraft, he still didn’t know how to do it well. That’s the problem.”
Mocking his lifestyle, she added: “Since Uncle started doing charms, he never traveled abroad, only in and out of Benin and Benue.”
Her honest narration and the peculiar circumstances surrounding her uncle’s death sparked a lot of internet reactions to the video.
