Napoli have reportedly told Manchester United that securing Victor Osimhen’s services will require Rasmus Hojlund plus an additional £33.6 million.

Manchester United are actively looking to reinforce their attacking options this summer, following a trophyless 2024/25 campaign under manager Ruben Amorim.

The club is also in contention to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.

Delap could be on the move due to a £30 million release clause in his current contract, triggered by Ipswich’s relegation.

However, the 22-year-old appears to favor a switch to Chelsea, who are also keen on securing his signature.

With Delap potentially headed elsewhere, United are evaluating other targets. According to Italian outlet Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the Premier League side have intensified their pursuit of Osimhen.

The report claims that Manchester United’s director of football, Matt Hargreaves, recently visited Italy to meet with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Giovanni Manna in an effort to negotiate a deal.

Osimhen, 26, has a £63 million release clause in his current deal, which only applies to non-Italian clubs.

The Nigerian forward, who recently completed a loan spell at Galatasaray set to end in June, has yet to make a final decision on his next destination.
