Chelsea have unveiled updated squad numbers for Cole Palmer and their recent acquisition, Liam Delap.
Starting from the upcoming season, Palmer will switch to the no.10 jersey.
Since joining Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, the England international had been wearing the no.20 shirt.
Delap, on the other hand, has been assigned the iconic no.9 shirt—a number often considered ill-fated at Chelsea due to its association with former players such as Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, and Fernando Torres.
The 22-year-old striker finalized a £30 million transfer to the London club after Chelsea activated his release clause at Ipswich.
This move marks a swift return to top-flight football for Delap, who had experienced relegation during the 2024–25 season.
In a statement, Chelsea said: “Supporters are reminded that the full list of squad numbers for the 2025/26 season will be finalised once the summer transfer window has shut.”
