The company’s Head of Marketing, Nduka Mokwunye, said the initiative reflects Sundry Foods’ dedication to corporate social responsibility and giving back to the community. “The blood donation drive conducted by the company is a demonstration of commitment to the community and the corporate social responsibility programmes initiated by SFL,” Mokwunye stated.

The Executive Director of Sundry Foods, Nnamdi Opara, described the initiative as a modest contribution to strengthening national blood bank stocks. “We recognise that saving lives is not for caregivers alone but everybody’s business because we value the health and well-being of members of the community,” Opara remarked.

Opara emphasized the importance of a steady blood supply in hospitals for surgeries, emergencies, and medical conditions. “At SFL, we are constantly seeking ways to positively impact the lives of people living in our host communities,” he added.

The company’s effort was inspired by the 2025 World Blood Donor Day theme, “Give blood, Give hope: together we save lives.” Sundry Foods’ corporate responsibility teams continually work to identify ways to make a bigger impact in society.
