Good news for eastern Carolina communities! Governor Josh Stein has announced that the Rural Infrastructure Authority has approved nine grants totalling $2,941,000 to upgrade facilities across the state. These grants will focus on renovation and expansion projects, leading to 137 new jobs in North Carolina.

The city of Rocky Mount is set to benefit from a $375,000 grant, which will help the Opportunities Industrialisation Centre (OIC) expand its family medical centre and create 30 new jobs. This project will invest over $13 million in the community

Other communities, including Williamston, Rockingham, Transylvania, Hertford, Robeson, and Watauga counties, will also receive funding to renovate community spaces. These upgrades will not only improve infrastructure but also create opportunities for local residents.
