In Lagos State’s Alimosho Local Government Area, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reaffirmed its readiness to take charge of the LGA and its five LCDAs.
Isiaka Shodiya, the PDP chairman of Alimosho, made this announcement on Saturday, emphasizing that the party’s prospects for the upcoming July 12 elections are still favorable.
He claims that the PDP candidates in Alimosho LGA, Igando Ikotun, Egbe-Idimu, Mosan Okunola, Ayobo-Ipaja, and Agbado-Oke Odo motivated party leaders and supporters to rally support.
“We are proud of the PDP today. We are united and determined to win across all council areas in this local government.
“PDP is fully on ground in Alimosho and Lagos State. By the special grace of Almighty God, we shall be victorious,” Shodiya said.
As a result, he urged the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission, LASIEC, to guarantee an election that is fair, transparent, and credible.
The ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC, is allegedly not fulfilling its electoral pledges to the populace, according to Shodiya.
The leader of the party urged people in Alimosho and around Lagos to support the PDP on July 12 by showing up in large numbers.
On Wednesday in Lagos, the PDP announced its candidates for the positions of chairman and councilor.
