Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) in Bauchi has issued a warning to prospective students and the general public about fraudulent activities involving fake admission letters circulating in the university’s name. The Public Relations Officer, Auwal Hassan, disclosed that a document titled “Provisional Letter of Admission into Bauchi State University, Gadau, Bauchi State for the 2025/2026 Session” has been falsely linked to SAZU to deceive unsuspecting applicants.

According to Hassan, “The university management categorically stated that SAZU, Bauchi, is a distinct institution and should not be confused with Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG), as fraudsters are deliberately exploiting this similarity to deceive candidates.” The university emphasizes that admission into SAZU is conducted solely through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and the university’s official portal
