The Kano State branch of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has expelled House of Representatives member, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, citing alleged anti-party conduct and failure to fulfill his financial responsibilities to the party.
The announcement was made on Saturday by the state party chairman, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, during a press briefing in Kano. He stated that the expulsion came after Jibrin’s repeated public criticism of the party and its leadership.
Dungurawa characterized Jibrin as a “weak politician,” claiming that his electoral victories were not based on personal merit but rather owed to the support of the Kwankwasiyya movement and the NNPP platform.
“If he was truly strong politically, he would have won his election under the APC, but he failed. It was when he joined NNPP through Kwankwasiyya that he became a House of Reps member. Now he is deceiving himself thinking he is strong,” Dunguraw
