UK police have arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who is the brother of King Charles III.
Reports indicate that he was arrested on suspicion of public office misconduct.
In a statement released on Thursday, Thames Valley Police announced the arrest of a man in his sixties from Norfolk on February 19, under suspicion of misconduct in public office.
The force stated it is conducting searches at locations in Berkshire and Norfolk.
“The man remains in police custody at this time. We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance,” the police said.
The police did not disclose the suspect’s identity. However, when inquired about Andrew’s arrest, the force alluded to its prior statement confirming that a man in his sixties had been arrested. Andrew is aged 66.
After a comprehensive evaluation of the allegation, Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright stated that an investigation had commenced.
