After her husband reportedly torched her store, a Nigerian woman’s life was devastated, igniting social media outrage.

The occurrence in Asaba, Delta state, left the woman heartbroken as her business and means of support were consumed by fire.

The heartbroken woman’s video was posted online by @lucky on TikTok, where she was interviewed by them, disclosing the level of destruction.

The woman stated that the shop represented more than a business; it was a testament to her dedication and labor. Its demolition resulted in substantial debts for her, including over N8 million owed to suppliers and customers.

It was claimed that her husband acted out of desperation to get back at her for her decision to end their marriage, which was said to be due to his cheating.

The event ignited a fervent discussion on social media, where numerous individuals demanded justice and denounced the husband’s purported actions.

The fire caused damage beyond the woman’s shop, impacting adjacent businesses as well.

“That business is everything to me because I tried so much to make sure they business stands. The goods in that shop is even on credit. I’m owing customers not less than N8 million as it stands now. I sell provision and foodstuffs.” She narrated

As he shared the video online, Lucky denounced the man’s actions and voiced his distress about the situation.

“Imagine burning your wife’s shop because you cheated on her and she refused to stay married to you. Wicked man. Imagine waking up to see your shop burnt down including your neighbour’s shop by your own husband. Happened in Asaba, Delta state.”

TikTok users stormed the comments section to react to the post.
