Chisom Gbali, the Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress.
His resignation was contained in a letter dated May 13 and addressed to the party chairman of Ward 1 in Oyigbo Local Government Area.
He said the decision was reached after careful reflection and personal consideration.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for opportunities, relationship and experiences I gained during my time as a member of the party.
“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly,” he said.
His resignation became public a few hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary.
